Welcome to NLP News Updates
“Can I tell you a story?” (Terry Elston, NLP World)
It begins with a dream. A dream about the not too distant future. About the possibilities for 2007.
Something magical is about to happen.
And because you’re here, now, means that you’re part of the dream. A dream that will become a reality unlike you’ve every experienced.
So let’s work together to make it excellent.
If you’re here, you probably received my email about getting back in touch with each other. Thanks for coming - I really appreciate it because it means you’ve made the first step to become part of something. Maybe something big. (At least I hope so!).
From tiny acorns…
Before I continue, let me draw your attention to the newsletter sign-up box on the right hand side of the page. Please sign up now! Before you forget. And it’s okay to forget
as long as you’ve signed up first! You can always come back here to read the rest of this post.
Really, it’s okay… I’ll wait for you to come back!
*** waiting patiently ****
Okay, now that you’re back, thanks for signing up. For those of you that skipped that last part and are 3 times convincers here are three reasons for you to sign up to the monthly updates:
- It’s an extremely convenient way of keeping in touch with people you shared some deeply emotional experiences with on your NLP training.
- I’ll be doing most of the hard work of putting together the information so you don’t have to! Just send me any news items you think may be of interest and I’ll add it every month and let everyone know.
- I’ll like you more for helping out
But seriously, there is a point to this. Let me explain the journey that’s lead me here. Can I tell you my story?
For those of you who don’t know, I did my Master Practitioner with NLP World last August 2006. If you’ve not been yet then…*man*, are you in for full on neuro lingusitic treat!!! (note: 3 exclamation marks!) Quantum Linguistics will just blow you away. Think “NLP Practitioner training on steroids“. Terry, Adam, Susanne and Simon have some mind-blowing stuff lined up for you. Would I recommend NLP World for Master Prac training? Without doubt. It will definitely grab you by the [censored] and make you tingle all over. It’ll strike a chord with something inside you. It will make you see excellent things in yourself. Ultimately, you’ll understand the logic of NLP. If you’ve not booked in, do so now (honestly, I’m not being paid by Terry at all but if you could mention my testimonial then maybe I’ll get discounts for any courses they do in the future ;)! ). I mean, why wouldn’t you not want to join up to such an excellent training course?
. And if that’s not sold it for you, then what if I were to tell you that Terry & Adam reveal the “secret” formula to creating your own NLP patterns? Wouldn’t *that* be worth booking in training for - just to get this one piece of information - instead of being left to wonder (like you are now
).
To the guys who I did my NLP Practitioner training with - let me just say that I’ve experienced some major shift in perceptions and am now positively focused on creating my future. Firstly, I shaved my head (no more flowing locks, mixed reactions but mainly a good response). B) I’ve now quit my job and, on the other hand, I am now starting out down the road of beginning my journey building a new business.
Somewhere on this road (which actually began on the Practitioner training), happy coincidences and synchronicity meant I bumped into some wonderful people. One of which was Margaret Collins who is just great. She’s a Professional Coach & Trainer and also does some coaching at The Money Gym. It’s thanks to Margaret that I’m now writing this blog. Not only did she do a great job re-aligning my values around Money and Career on the NLP Master Practitioner course but she also pointed me in the direction of Internet Marketing.
Ironically, having worked in IT for over 8 years, I’d never considered using my Development, Project Management and NLP skills to create my own job! I’m now working on something that I should’ve done ages ago. Obviously, the time wasn’t right back then… but it feels right and it’s definitely congruent now.
So where do you come in?
Well, I know you all. You’re a very resourceful lot. More than you’d imagine. I know for a fact that we all have something to share. Just as Margaret helped spark something within me, my hope is to do the same for each and every one of you. And also for you all to help each other. Just as you’ve done in the past during training, you all know deep down that there’s something you have now that may help someone else. All it takes is an idea - a spark to light the way. This blog will hopefully help people find things to help them focus and maintain their direction.
That is my hope for the future.
So, how can you help? It’s simple - let us know what you’re doing, what you’re stuck with, where you want to be. You know that deep down you already know what the solution is, but sometimes you need someone else to help you see your solution. And that’s where we come in.
Why did I choose to write a blog instead of a webpage? Well, blog allows people to make comments. If you’re stuck or need help, I’m sure one of us may be able to provide some help or send you a link.
Also (as I’ve recently found out) blogs are becoming increasingly important if you want to promote your company online. That’s right - if you’ve got your own website and need a little bit more traffic to be sent your way, then why not promote yourself here? I’m sure we’d all like to know what each other are up to. And did you notice how I’ve just casually (weird how I first typed “causually”) added links to this post? And if you know anything about Internet Marketing, you’ll appreciate how effective niche specific link targetting is. If you don’t, then don’t worry - “it’s a good thing“, that’s all you need to know.
Now - if you haven’t already - type your name and email into the box in the top right and sign-up to the Newsletter.
That’s it from me for this month. I feel certain that we’ll be hearing from a lot more of you next month.
Go on, do something amazing this year and tell us your stories!

Hi Helena,
It’s great that you’ve some fantastic stories - send them and next month I’m sure we’re going to have some great content about the results you guys have been getting by using your NLP skills! I can’t wait to hear them.
So I take it that you got my “swedish” email ;). In my attempt to get people to sign up in which ever way possible, I remembered from our Master Prac that we don’t really need the words - the intention can be felt. And strangely enough, we’ve had a couple more people sign up today! Hooray!
Anyway, keep up the great work and let me know - I’ll do my bit and make sure everyone knows that it’s happening.
